Meet Amy Roy

Amy Roy, creator of Mali’s World

A teacher, writer, and lifelong believer in the power of a good story.

After twenty years as a high school English teacher, Amy created Mali’s World to help young readers explore big feelings through warm, approachable adventures. Inspired in part by her son’s time in Cambodia, the stories bring the wonder of the Cardamom Rainforest to children everywhere.

Plan a visit for 2027

Amy is now welcoming inquiries from schools and libraries planning visits for 2027. Visits are available for individual classrooms, combined groups of up to three classrooms, and library groups or special events. Families may also have the opportunity to preorder books that Amy will sign in advance and bring to the visit.
